Knowledge Innovation Centre

About us

The Knowledge Innovation Centre (KIC) plays a central and multifaceted role in the WINDEE project, contributing both conceptual expertise and strategic support across several work packages. Drawing on its extensive experience in digital learning, inclusion, and education policy—particularly through previous projects like InclusiPHE and NEXUS—KIC is actively involved in the development of the Digital Well-being Framework. It ensures that the framework is not only grounded in research but also practical, inclusive, and adaptable for different educational contexts.

Our Role in WINDEE

KIC plays a key role in shaping the project’s policy experimentation methodology, helping to translate findings from pilot activities into concrete, evidence-based policy recommendations. By supporting stakeholder engagement—especially with policymakers, educators, and EdTech providers—KIC contributes to creating sustainable, systemic impact at both national and EU levels.

Leveraging its established networks, including the European Digital Education Hub, EDEN, and European Schoolnet, KIC helps expand the project’s outreach and supports its ambition to embed digital well-being at the heart of educational policy and practice across Europe.
